Sometimes profanity is necessary. This week is one of those cases. Monday night the DTQ kicks off a monthly monday night a the Barley House in Concord (see calendar for personel, times, etc) We’ve hung out there so much on Tuesday Nights after teaching that they felt sorry for us and gave us a gig to have a little more beer money. Thursday night I get to tag along with Matt Jenson’s Acid Reggae Experience at the Lily Pad in Cambridge. This will be a fun gig with Jenser on B3, Alex Alvear on Bass, Morris Acevedo on Guitar and Mike “Tasties” Carrera on Laptop. To make this night even better – the Claudia Quintet is opening the night at the Lily Pad – WHAT!!?!!! – Chris Speed on saxxamophone? I’m THERE!
Then friday It’s up to Bowdoin with Sam Sherry’s Group for a whack at the music off his new CD. That one will be a blast too. You should make all these gigs and I’ll buy you a beer at every one. That will be a challenge at Bowdoin but you can hold me to it.
