On December 15th, after a few more bumps on the real estate purchase highway, we picked up the keys to a new home in Nevada City. When you hear Nevada City, you may think city. Well, as Taylor used to tell us when we tried to find an AirBnB for visits in the past, parts of the “city” are deep in the woods on a labyrinth of dirt roads. Our home is on one of those dirt roads, nestled in the woods. I’ll let the pictures and videos give you a tour of the ride in.

Our first few weeks were filled with blackberries, hikes, bikes and swimming. The pictures tell most of the story and I’m writing this long after the fact just so you can get a feel for the passage of time since we arrived. I stopped writing pretty much as soon as we got here and I thought you might like to see some of what went down since. I’ll keep the words to a minimum and the pics to the max!
