Hey, it actually feels like spring! Time to get on the BIKE!!! Can’t wait. If I wasn’t such a wus I would have ridden today. Oh well, I’ll hop on soon. Some great music coming up.

Friday, April 4th: Pandelis Karayorgis Quintet at the Portland Conservatory. This is this group’s second gig and the first one was a blast! Thanks to old pal Paul Lichter – Portland’s Jazz Impresario – for hooking this up. Come hear Pandelis, Jeff Galindo, Jef Charland, Luther Gray and myself interpret Pandelis’ wonderful original compositions.

Monday, April 14th: The David Tonkin Group’s regular hang at the Barley House in Concord. After a couple gigs with the whole CCMS jazz faculty – two drummers, two saxes, bass, guitar and keys – David has some ideas that include dancers, animals, video and flexitone solos galore. You should definitely stay tuned to this saga. We start at 8PM

Tuesday April 15th: Chris Klaxton Quintet at St. Anselm’s College. Chris is a great trumpet player among many other things. This should be a great time…sorry a little light on the deatils but if you wanna check it out, send me an email and I’ll get you some details.

Thursday April 17th: Lola Danza Quartet at Ryles in Cambridge. Jeff Glindo is on the road so I get to bat cleanup with an incredible band; Lola, Bob Moses and John Lockwood. Have a great gig trip Jeff, I know I’ll have some fun!

Friday, April 18th: Rob Dumais and I will bounce a few notes off the walls of the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn in Manchester, NH. Come on down and have a brew with us…well…you can have a brew…we’ll have one with you aftah the gig.

Thursday, April 24th:The Jazzmouth Festival kicks off in Portsmouth with the annual big band and movie hang at the Muddy River. Check out the Jazzmouth website. There’s a ton of great stuff going on all weekend.

Sunday, April 27th: I’ll be doing the jazz brunch at the Outlook in South Berwick. Great food and a beautiful setting. Come on out for some jazz and eggs.
