Happy ’11 to all! I hope this is a prosperous and wonderful New Year for each and every one of you. This Holiday season has been great with plenty of time to hang with friends and family. I feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful family and close friends. Here’s some music I’d love to share with you.
Monday, January 3rd, 8PM – Aporkalypse Now & Jazzsputin & The Jug Skunks at the Red Door. Portsmouth, NH. The Seacoast Composer’s Forum…dubbed Aporkalypse Now…in an all-to-rare local appearance. Featuring Jonny Peiffer on drums, Nick Mainella on Saxes, Zach Lane on trumpet, Nate Therrien on bass and Mike Effenberger on keys. Featuring compositions by all members of the band ranging from moody modal jazzers to off kilter funk romps, the writing and playing is always adventurous! The Jug Skunks follow with the effortlessly entertaining Steve Roy’s take on viper jazz and so much more. How much entertainment can you handle!!!??
