Click the link above to download a pdf of a photocopy of Ramon Ricker’s Harmonic Major Scales for Saxophone. If you’re unfamiliar with playing harmonics on the saxophone this NOT a good place to start. This is for the saxophonist that has a good knowledge of the harmonic series of the saxophone and who is looking to put the harmonics to use in an organized fashion. This approach to playing major scales is VERY good for your tone! Go slowly at first and sound each harmonic fully and clearly before moving to the next note. Finger the low note (shown as a colored in note below the staff) to produce the harmonic (shown as a whole note). Email me if you have any questions!
