I’m ready for a new year. This one is toasted for sure! Bring on the new year, get rid of the dweeb and let’s get to work on rebuilding AMERICA!!! Thanks to all for supporting live music and all creative endeavors in ’08.
January is looking a little quiet on the giggage but here are a couple to check out.
Friday, January 2nd – Jan Van Voorst Quartet and the Dogfish Grill, Portland. I know I had this on the calendar in december but this time for sure! Jan’s got the inimitable Curtis Clark on keys and Fitz Jenkins on bass. Should be a great night.
Monday, January 12th – David Tonkin Quartet at the Barley House, Concord. I missed this gig the past couple of months and, believe me, I’ve heard about it! I won’t miss this one! Join us if you can!
Sunday, January 25th – FTET at the Barley Pub, Dover, NH. Mike Effenberger’s FTET with Chris Klaxton on trumpet and Jim Rudolph on drums. Hopefully we’ll have Jef Charkand along on bass, but we’ll see. Jef’s a new daddy so he might not make the trip. Always a great band and the Barley Pub is practically this band’s living room. You should join us!
